Polynucleotides FAQ
1
What happens during the procedure?
After a thorough consultation and before you undergo treatment, we cleanse the skin. We then apply a numbing cream to reduce pain before administering multiple injections across the treatment area.
2
How many treatments are needed?
Depending on the severity of your concerns, we advise
three to four treatments spaced three weeks apart to achieve best results
3
Is the treatment painful?
Some patients may feel a slight sting or pinch when the needle is injected. The level of discomfort varies from person to person, and pain tolerance differs between individuals. To minimise discomfort, we apply topical numbing cream before the procedure.
4
Is there any downtime?
Following treatment, some mild swelling or bruising is normal and should start to ease within 24-48 hours. There may also be some slight redness and some small bumps at the injection sites
5
Can Polynucleotides be used alongside other treatments?
Yes, they can be reliably used alongside other aesthetic
procedures. They are widely known as a ‘skin primers’, meaning they can prepare the skin and make it more receptive to treatments like laser, dermal fillers, chemical peels and microneedling. If used afterwards, they can enhance results and keep the skin looking good for longer.
